When you register for any of CNP Safaris (Pty) Ltd’s tours or workshops, you agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined by the company. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time, so please make sure you review them regularly to stay informed.

 

Registration, Pricing and Payment

 

Registration is complete upon receipt of the complete Registration Pack and 35% non-refundable deposit, as per deposit and payment schedule. All bookings/registrations are binding.

 

35% of the total amount is due at the time of booking/registration, 35% is due 180 days prior to the start date, and the remaining 30% is due 90 days prior to the start date.

 

If you are registering for a tour or workshop that is scheduled to start within 180 days, you will need to make a payment of 70% of the total cost to confirm your registration. The payment schedule for the remaining amount will be standard as per the payment schedule. For tours and workshops that are scheduled to start within 90 days, you will need to make a 100% payment to confirm your registration.

 

Bookings are only provisional for 14 days and will only be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit payment.

 

CNP Safaris maintains the right to adjust the price of a tour or workshop in the event of any increase in cost, currency fluctuations, or abnormal supply prices of park fees, conservation levies, transportation costs, taxes, customs, or similar expenses. Any amended prices will be published on the product pages, and registrants will receive notifications if any changes in cost have occurred on the tour or workshop.

If you are a citizen of South Africa or one of the other 15 Southern African countries in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and plan to travel to another member state, you may be eligible for discounted rates called SADC rates. .

*Note: The rates under the PAY NOW tabs on the website, will appear in ZAR – South African Rand or USD – United States Dollar, depending on the IP address of the computer you are using. To qualify for the SADC rate or Special South African rate a valid passport must be submitted.


Payment Options

 

Our secure online payment system is through PayGate, and we accept most major credit cards, instant EFT and direct bank transfer payments.

Note that Paygate payments will incur an additional processing fee of 3%. 


Cancellation and Refund Policy

 

Unless cancellation notice is received before the balance payment date, the balance will remain due and payable. If your cancellation is received after your due date of payment, the below cancellation charges will apply.

 

The deposit plus 30% is forfeited if cancellation occurs between 180 and 90 days before the start date. 100% of the total package price is forfeited if cancellation occurs less than 90 days before the start date.

 

Please note that we do not offer refunds if you are unable to join a tour or workshop on the start date, join after the start date, or depart before the completion of the tour or workshop. We recommend that registrants file a claim with their mandatory travel insurance policy in the event of such circumstances.

 

Insurance

 

It is mandatory for all those who register for the tour to have suitable travel insurance that covers the entire duration of the tour and all the activities that will be carried out. The insurance policy must include coverage for cancellation, curtailment, interruption, medical and emergency expenses (including repatriation), personal accident, injury, or death. CNP Safaris cannot be held accountable for any physical injury, loss, death, damage, or expense that may arise during the tour. Registrants are advised to take adequate insurance against loss, damage, and unforeseen expenses due to delays or alterations in air or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, and other causes, personal risk, baggage, personal possessions, and photographic equipment.

 

Medical

 

Registrants are responsible for taking all necessary health precautions and consulting with their health practitioners before embarking on any safari with CNP Safaris, regardless of the destination. It is important to note that Africa is home to various tropical diseases, including malaria. Therefore, registrants should be aware of the risks and hazards associated with travelling to these areas.

 

Itinerary Change, Trip Delay or Trip Cancellations

 

CNP Safaris reserves the right to modify a tour’s dates, itinerary, allocated photographic guide, or accommodations in response to changing conditions. These are expeditions to remote regions of the world, and we may need to adjust the itinerary due to unforeseen weather conditions, lodge availability, political circumstances, and other factors beyond our control without consulting the participants. Please note that these decisions will be made in the best interests of all participants and the safety of all staff. If an itinerary change is necessary due to bad weather, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, sickness, or other unforeseen circumstances for which CNP Safaris or its agents cannot provide, the cost of delays or changes will not be included. Participants should understand that they have no right to a refund or other considerations in the event of these inevitable itinerary changes.

 

CNP Safaris reserves the right to cancel a trip before departure due to logistical reasons or if there are too few participants. A decision will be made 45 days before the scheduled departure date. However, please note that this refund policy does not cover any unforeseeable events or acts of God. It’s important to note that CNP Safaris will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by trip members while preparing for the trip, including non-refundable or penalty-carrying airline tickets, visa or passport fees, special clothing, or any other trip-related expenses.

 

CNP Specialist/Custom Photography Boats and Vehicles

 

CNP Safaris is committed to the regular maintenance and servicing of all Specialist Custom Photography boats and vehicles. However, in the event of a breakdown, it may be necessary to use standard safari vehicles and boats. By registering for the safari, participants agree to indemnify CNP Safaris against any claims that may arise from the breakdown of Custom Photographic vehicles and boats during the safari.

 

Limitations and Liability


CNP Safaris serves as a consultant and assistant for travellers who embark on tours using various modes of transportation, such as railroad, motorcar, motorcoach, boat, aeroplane, or others. However, CNP Safaris does not assume any responsibility for injuries, damages, losses, accidents, delays, or irregularities that may be caused due to any defects in the vehicles or any other reasons, including the acts, defaults, or bankruptcies of any service provider involved in the tour arrangements. Each tour registrant who agrees to participate in any CNP Photographic Safari must indemnify and hold harmless CNP Safaris, its agents, employees, shareholders, officers, directors, attorneys, and contractors as outlined in the Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, it is mandatory for each registrant to have adequate travel insurance for the entire tour duration and all activities undertaken.

 

Images, Videos and Testimonials

 

During the operation of any CNP Safaris products, we reserve the right to take photographs or videos and use the resulting media in whole or in part for promotional purposes, including advertising and publicity in print, electronic, and social media. Participants who register and pay a deposit for a CNP Safaris product agree to allow their images to be used for such purposes. If a participant prefers that their image not be used, they should notify the tour leader(s) at the beginning of their trip. Additionally, we reserve the right to use any written reviews provided to us in our advertising and publicity in print, electronic, and social media.
