My favourite quote by Jay Maisel perfectly encapsulates my photography philosophy:
“If you are out there shooting, things will happen for you. If you are not out there, you will only hear about it.”
I’ve been immersed in the world of photography since 2012, and while I may not be a full-time photographer, my commitment to honing my skills and knowledge is nothing short of professional.
Specialising in Wildlife, Landscapes, Macro, and Sports photography, I’ve had the privilege of capturing the breath-taking beauty of nature in various forms. My photographic journey began as a novice on a trip to the Chobe River with CNP Safaris in 2012. Astonished by the results, I quickly transformed into a successful photographer. I’m deeply passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills, which align perfectly with CNP Safaris’ methodology. Teaching brings me immense joy, especially when combining my love for nature and people.
My key destinations include the mesmerising Chobe in Botswana, the captivating Ndutu in Tanzania, and the iconic Masai Mara in Kenya. My accolades include being the 1st Runner Up in Nature’s Best Photography Africa 2015 for Reptiles and receiving Honoured Awards for Mammals and Cats of Africa 2015.
For me, nature and wildlife photography is an ongoing journey of challenges and diversity. It’s a continuous quest for that elusive winning photo, encountering new and unique species and keeping pace with evolving technology. Living in Africa constantly reminds me of the privilege I have to capture its beauty through my lens.
